“Unless you people see signs and wonders you simply will not believe.” John 4:48
When it comes to politicians, I can’t help but “believe this way about their statements and policies – “I’ll believe it when I see it!”
Why? The history of politicians has proven the fact that people will say anything to get the vote with zero intention of seeing it through. But what about God? Has God ever proven HIMSELF unfaithful, untrue, a failure to complete HIS promises? Has God ever been anything less than perfect, holy, righteous?
In a completely honest evaluation, have you ever asked God for a sign to increase your faith? Do you still seek them out? Why? If God has never done anything to create any doubt but has only proven HIMSELF faithful, true, and a fulfiller of promises, then why do you not truly believe? The word believe is mentioned nearly 100 times in the gospel of John with the majority of times referring to a “believing savingly in the Lord Jesus Christ.” The introspective questions to ask yourself is – If the God of the Bible is true and the Bible is inspired by this One True God, our belief in Him will look much different!
