What was the light in the night sky that proclaimed the birth of God’s Son? We may not understand the astronomical details, but we know that God chose a light in the night sky as a herald. In John’s gospel he quotes Jesus’ claim to be the light of the world and a promise that those who follow Him will not walk in darkness. What areas of darkness in your life need to be illuminated by His light today?
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
