We are committed to becoming witnesses of Jesus Christ in “Jerusalem” – our community. Some of the ways we serve Tipton County are:
An annual partnership with the Town of Atoka, this free event draws thousands of people to Walker Park for games, music, rides, food, and fireworks. Check out this page for more information on Rock the Block.
In June & July, Gateway members host these clubs all over the community. Kids come to hear the gospel, sing songs, create crafts, and play games. We love connecting with parents, too. In 2017, a club in Covington had so much fun it grew to a monthly gathering. We’re excited to see what God will do next in this ministry! Visit this page for more information on Kids Clubs, including dates, locations, and how you can get connected.
SNAG is the Munford Parks and Recreations Special Needs Athletic Group. Gateway members serve as “Buddies”. Buddies are a vital part of the success of SNAG. Every SNAG player is assigned a Buddy for each game. The Buddy is there to protect the player from balls, assist the player in batting, running the bases, and to be a friend on and off the field.
Serve Our Schools
We love our schools! We serve the students, teachers, and administrators in various ways like prayer-walking, landscaping and construction, and even serving meals.
Greet & Treat
Halloween is a great time to serve our community. Some members greet their neighbors from home as they pass out candy.
After the Munford Parks and Recreation tree lighting and parade, Gateway members serve hot chocolate and offer photos with Santa.
Christmas with Dignity
Christmas with Dignity is a store with new items received by donation available to purchase for those who might typically be unable to afford their own gifts for their family. The ministry also provides donors and volunteers with the personal satisfaction of helping others. For more information on Christmas with Dignity, visit this page.
Gateway also has several ongoing missions that extend to the community.
This is Christ-centered 12 step recovery group dealing with life’s hurts, habits, and hang ups. We are not a group for just drugs and alcohol. In fact, only 1 of every 3 people come to Celebrate Recovery for chemical addictions. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place for all people to express their issues and find healing for their struggles through biblical teaching. Visit this page for more information.
As the body of christ, we join together to support single pregnant moms. Our goal is to support these women as they choose life for their baby, whether keeping or placing for adoption. We support them emotionally and spiritually. Our aim is for the church to be the first place a woman turns to during an unplanned pregnancy. We are seeing lives saved and generations being changed.
This is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. This group is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. For more information about Grief Share, click here.
Gateway loves families. We know that families take many forms in Tipton County. Not all children live with their birth parents, many live with foster or adoptive families.
This group supports Foster and Adoptive Parents, through community gatherings, training certification classes, family events, and other fun stuff. There is also a private FaceBook group, Fostering Love for Tipton.
We are all fearfully and wonderfully made.
This is a community for families, friends and individuals with special needs. Wonderfully Made is an intentional way for the members of Gateway in Tipton County, TN to minister to and serve with special needs families.
