When a person chooses to follow Christ, they embark on a lifelong process of maturity and growth. The Bible says in Ephesians 4 that we are to “grow up in all things unto Him” and that we “should no longer be children (in our faith), tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.” When we are saved, God is definitely not finished with us. The question that we will deal with over the next four weeks is, “How does this process happen?” It is a process that is all over Scripture, and a process that God wants to initiate in the life of every one of His followers. Over the next four weeks, we’ll look at a “G4” process that will help us remember what God is doing in us!
The first step in the process is GATHER. In other words, we are to gather together for WORSHIP. Worship happens in our hearts and in so many ways, but the Bible commands us as part of our growth to do this together. Hebrews 10:25 says, “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the day approaching.” In fact, gathering for worship is the first step that many take toward God. Today, we will look at why we worship God, and the beauty of doing it together!
Today, Bro. Steve starts a brand new series, G4. Our first ‘g’ is GATHER. If you missed the message or want to hear it again, listen on-line or tune in to our podcast.
