Have you ever known someone that wasted their gifts?

Maybe it was an athlete that had enormous talent, but squandered it by not working out properly. Perhaps it was someone with a brilliant intellect, but they had no self-discipline. Maybe it was an artist that refused to paint or a singer that chose not to sing. Maybe you would identify yourself as that person that never reaches their potential.

In every case, there is great possibility, but that potential never makes it to reality.

This can also be true spiritually, because all of us have been gifted by God in some very special and unique ways. We have tons of potential when it comes to serving and building up the church. it is indeed a terrible thing to see someone that God has truly gifted. . .waste that gift.

The truth is that every church is in danger of sitting on their gifts.

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

This weekend, we talked about the third “G” in our G4 series. The word is GIVE. We have all been given spiritual gifts, abilities, burdens, personality, and life experiences that we are to use to build up the church. We are not to be a group of people that are always left wondering what might have been.

Are you using your gifts to make a difference in the kingdom of God?

Today, Pastor Steve teaches what it means to ‘GIVE’. If you missed the message or want to hear it again, listen on-line or tune in to our podcast.
