What actually happened at the cross? Why is the death of Jesus so significant to every one of us? How does God deal with the gap between Himself and human beings? IN Colossians 2:13-15, we find one of the most encouraging, exciting passages in the entire Bible. It gives us clear answers to these questions. It tells us of a plan that God initiated to defeat and disarm our enemy. At the cross, Jesus dealt with our greatest enemy, and He dealt with our greatest need.
Today, there are many that are controlled by Satan. There are many that are “dead” in their sin. Rest assured that Jesus has taken away the weapons of our enemy and offers life and forgiveness to all that will come to Him.
“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins. He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing to the cross. In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross.” Colossians 2:13-15
