Do you ever just think that the world has gone mad?

Do you ever feel like lying and anger and brutality describes our culture more than any other words? Sometimes we find it difficult to know how to live Godly lives in the middle of such a corrupt culture. In a world of chaos and craziness, what is the church supposed to be doing? What do God’s people look like in the middle of it all?
The book of Titus was written by the Apostle Paul to a young man named Titus who was planting churches on an island called Crete. Crete was a disgusting place. Even Paul admitted that the people there were full of lies and lazy gluttons Titus was there for a reason: God loves liars and lazy gluttons! The entire book is about what the church needs to look like and how it should function in such an environment. It’s a great challenge. Titus is a manual on how to live Godly lives in the middle of chaos. The words of Paul in this book are applicable to the church in today’s world. We also live in a culture or chaos, lies, and violence. Let’s learn together what the Church of Jesus Christ looks like in the middle of all of that. Perhaps, we’ll learn to faithfully be God’s people in the midst of a crazy world!
