Hindsight is 20/20.

This is certainly true when it comes to parenting. We can all look back and see times when we made the wrong decision as parents. Often, we wish we could get a “re-do” when it comes to parenting our children. We certainly wish we could have avoided some “parenting mistakes” that become obvious as we grow older.

No parent is without regrets.

We all fail. In fact, if we could make a list of our mistakes, it would be great to share that list with a younger generation. In this message, we are going to see a list of potential mistakes when it comes to parenting. These are mistakes that are far too common among parents today, and mistakes that many regret making. In the life of a man named Hezekiah, we will see the consequences of not paying attention to God’s plans in our lives and in our parenting.

We might not get a “re-do”, but we can be determined not to make the same mistakes again. We can’t go back and do it over, but we will discover that God’s grace and kindness never stop reaching out to our families in spite of our mistakes.

Hindsight is indeed 20/20, but what God really wants us to “see” is His undying love for the family.
