The early church recognized how important it is for all believers to be engaged in the growth of the Kingdom of God. But, somewhere along the line the church lost that. It fell on the shoulders of the pastors, staff, and missionaries to do the work. Church can be a place where we come experience a service, maybe worship God some, then leave. There’s a thought that ‘I’m out living my life, coming in to be lifted up, then going out and living my life. The rest of it is up to the professionals.’ The goal is that we would move from a church attender to one who is living their life on mission every day. We aren’t consumers. Every member is a minister.
