The book of 2 Peter is full of important reminders for believers.
The first reminder is that we should never stop growing in our faith. Peter wanted to be sure that his readers understood that their foundation in Christ allowed them the opportunity to grow, change, and become more like Jesus. As we cooperate together with the Spirit of God, we can build on the foundation of our faith. Peter encourages us to give all diligence to developing virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. Are you cooperating with God when it comes to growth in your life? Are you allowing God’s Spirit to change your heart and actions? We all need that reminder!
