This incredible event is staffed in large part by volunteers. Gateway provides an army of volunteers people giving their time and service to make this an unforgettable event.
All volunteers should pre-register by completing a volunteer card (available at Gateway) or click here. You will receive an email or text confirmation about your volunteer status.
On the date of the event, you will be expected arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your shift and check in at the volunteer tent. The volunteer tent will be located at the south west side of the park (near the volleyball court). There you will be given specific direction as to where you’ll be serving. If you have special needs regarding sitting/standing for long periods of time, we can accommodate you.
FOOD VOLUNTEERS: This year we’re serving 4,000+ hot dogs, chips, watermelon, and hundreds of gallons of sweet tea and lemonade. All that food has to be cooked, prepped, and served. Food volunteers will join the workforce to make all this happen.
ACTIVITIES VOLUNTEERS: This year we are exited about all the fun things to do. Some of the activities are space walks (moon bounce) including slides, jumpers, and obstacle courses. We need volunteers to attend the activities. We’ll also be offering the ever popular face painting. Following simple samples, volunteers will stay busy at this tent.
