Sometimes we just get stuck.
Life’s not terrible. Life’s not great. We’re just stuck.
We can look up and find ourselves in the middle spiritually. One of the reasons that we get stuck in the middle is that we misunderstand our purpose. What’s my purpose? Why am I here? What is my life about? These are some of the most important questions that anyone could ever ask.
In fact, how a person answers that question determines whether or not they will find meaning and fulfillment in their lives. If we live our lives apart from a sense of purpose, we are headed toward frustration, depression, and a pointless life. If anyone ever searched for purpose, it was Solomon. In Proverbs and the book of Ecclesiastes, we follow Solomon’s search for purpose. In Solomon’s words we find that purpose has little to do with worldly pursuits. In fact, we find that God has a purpose for us that gives us direction and hope. Perhaps today you can find answers to the deep questions about purpose and why you are here. Maybe realizing your purpose can get you out of the middle and fully committed to the One that makes life worth living.
