Have you ever been angry or disappointed. . .with God?
Have you ever felt like God should have acted, and He didn’t? Perhaps you have prayed and believed with all of your heart, and you feel that God didn’t come through for you Many people feel this way. Some people live years of their lives angry and bitter at God because things didn’t turn out the way we had hoped or dreamed. Maybe today you are angry at God because you are suffering or life is unpleasant in some way.
Over the last several weeks, we’ve followed the journey of a man named Jonah. He ran from God. He ran back to God. Unfortunately, Johan’s running wasn’t over. Even though he had been obedient to do what God had told him to do, he became angry when God didn’t act the way he thought He would. Often, our anger boils over with God because He doesn’t do what we want Him to do. Maybe we think God’s actions are unfair or unjust like Jonah.
