We don’t want to just be a friendly church, but a church where you have friendships and can be discipled. Groups is an important part of how we get that done! Think of it this way, life’s journey is full of twists and turns, crossroads and roadblocks. Isn’t a journey easier when you have someone to help you navigate?
There are three types of groups at Gateway.
The groups meet at various times during the week throughout the entire year. These groups are the people you will gather with for Bible Study. You will serve on mission together and enjoy spending time together doing fun stuff! There are more than 20 adult groups available to join. It’s time for you to get involved in a group! Click here for a list of small groups.
These groups have various gathering times throughout the year. Participants in these groups are usually seeking to share experiences with others. These groups offer support for people during similar circumstances. Gateway offers four Care Groups:
- EMBRACE GRACE – As the body of Christ, we join together to support single, pregnant moms. Our goal is to support women as they choose life for their baby, whether keeping or placing for adoption. If you are single and pregnant, we want to support you emotionally and spiritually. Our aim is for the church to be the first place a woman turns to during an unplanned pregnancy.
- MORNINGS WITH MOMS – Enjoy meaningful conversation, laughter, and friendships as you’re supported in your journey through Momhood. All Moms welcome! This group gathers two Friday mornings per month from 9-11am at Gateway’s Atoka Campus. For a full list of dates and more information about this group, click here.
- CELEBRATE RECOVERY– This group is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurts, habits, or hang-ups of any kind. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life. CR gathers on Tuesdays at the Covington Campus from 6pm-8pm and on Thursdays at the Munford Campus from 6:30pm-8:30pm. For more information about Celebrate Recovery, click here.
- GRIEF SHARE – This is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. This group is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. For more information about Grief Share, click here.
These groups meet weekly on Wednesday nights. These gather for a 12 week Spring Semester from February – May and a 12 week Fall Semester from August – November.
The Fall 2018 Semester of Wednesday night grow groups begins soon! Groups are available for men, women, students, and kids.
