Mrs. Jeanne Starnes, from our Women’s Ministry shared his about the recent retreat:
Seventeen ladies joined with 7 members of Gateway Atoka’s Women’s Ministry team for a retreat at Paris Landing State Park. Lavender Springs Spa was a spiritually nourishing retreat on Psalms. During the six sessions, we journeyed through the psalms of the Bible, studying the different kinds of songs, poems, and psalms that have inspired people for centuries. We learned how the psalms help us share our feelings, disappointments, celebrations, and doubts with a truly great listener: God.
After the retreat, some of the ladies ventured on to Hazel, Kentucky for an afternoon of antiquing before returning home.
A good time was had by all and we left with a fresh approach to prayer that will grow our faith throughout the months to come.
